HERE I AM! ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE! Got into Boston late last night!

Holy crap what a trip with David Alston from Radian6...

So, we first venture out in the am at 9 from Saint John...40 minutes into the trip David realizes he forgot his wallet! DOH! So, he drops us off at an Irving and Kim and I have a delicious breakfast (not really, more of a stone in our bellies) and drives back where his wife will meet him half way and deliver said wallet. FASSST forward to another 40 minutes and we get back in and start our trip stateside. Around Bangor we here a POP, thought nothing of it...little did we know...

About another half an hour we stop and eat some subway, where they have FLATBREAD! REALLY! Crazy eh? Thought so too! Oh, and yogurt! YES! It's awesome, first hand experience. Saw it myself.

Back to the story...half an hour after our subway excursion we start hearing a weird noise, didn't think much of it, but David pulled over and filled all the tires up with air...hmm...a weird noise before now filling tires...what could this mean?

Yes, another half an hour passes, but this time, BANG! Like, 60's batman BANG! And we have a flat tyre (English speaking is fun). Yup, we had to call CAA or AAA here and they picked us up, towed us to a repair shop, fixed the car and we were back on our way...

Hey hey and a bucket full of hey! Ya, that's right! I'm back...FOR ROUND 2 BEEACHES!

So here we go, let's try to do this format. I know, I know, it's going to an hour or two to post this and write EVERY LITTLE STORY about every pic, but I want you to experience everything I'm experiencing, man, life is so crazy fun and helluva good time when you go out of your way and meet people and go places that you NEVER thought to expect or do or even SEE! teehee

So, let's start with the first pic class...
Some random girl in the am at the record store. I've been known to hang around Backstreet Records for sometime now, why? Because I love records, I love how they feel, how they look and most importantly, how they SOUND, god, nothing beats a good solid record! I love it, I love the clicks the pops, the unability to skip! It's amazing! So this girl walked in looking for some AFI so me and her started to jam out some "Fall Children" do yourself a favour and go look up that tune. It's a goody by AFI. And my version is so much better for the record...HA (horrible pun intended!)

Ok, so here we go, this story goes back as far as two weeks ago...this guy, I've been seeing EVERYWHERE, the market, the grocery store, EVERYWHERE! His name is Phil, or at least the name I'm giving him...So, when I first saw him I was like, that guy, is pure awesomesauce, seriously, he looked as if he came from the 70's. Then I saw his...
ORANGE SNEAKERS! Awesome eh? Yeah, thought so too! Totally ahead of you on that one! So I just ran into today and asked to take pics of his awesomesauce (yes I did) sneakers. So I did that up, and he was totally cool. And his buddy, which I will effectively name Simon (because he looks like Paul Simon from Simon and Garfunkel, or at least his sweater does).

Who could this be? But the talented Babette (Lizzy! HA!) Hayward, who wins this year's most talented singer/ song writer/ record sales"person". Check her out! She's the awesome!

This is Cameron! Cameron likes to walk on long four legged walks, and likes to roar and bark like a doggy. I was in the record store this morning and I saw Cameron four leggin down the sidewalk, and I was like, AWESOME! I want to take a pic of this! He's too cool for school! So I rushed out and started takin some snappies with the lil lad. Check them out!

Aye, me and the little man shared some moments together...And he even taught me a lesson! So I gave the little man the camera as he didn't know how to say Camera till I showed him! Guess what, he learnt it and upon learning something you always have to reward knowledge (cuz it's great!) I gave the little guy the camera to take a picture! This is the part that he taught me something for the day, change your vantage point, shoot something from even an infant's point of view. Check this image out!
Ya, that was his shot! Pretty great eh? Not too bad for a budding photographer and didn't even know the name of the tool of his trade...huh, who wudda thought? Thanks Cameron!

So I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret of mine, I love going to Kings Square at lunch hour and meeting the people you meet! There is so many different people on those benche's of all walks of life! Take for example this guy.
His name is Ron Auberge, he's been a fisherman, a pulp/ paper man, a general labourer, he was married for 26 years and a devote christan. Isn't that awesome? I learnt his entire life in 15 minutes, we sat down on the bench together, he took my photo, and I took his, he said my Christ Martin jacket (which I watched "Lovers in Japan" music video and decided I wanted a jacket like him so I went to the military surplus and got one!) and we exchanged stories and just enjoyed each others company. Just an awesmoe man, he was telling me about people, Saint Johners, where he's lived, what he's learnt, and most importantly is to take care of yourself and the ones you love. Love life, live life, don't fret about deadlines, worry about frowns, it's people that make this world. Make them special, and do your best to enjoy life! He was proud of me walking up to people I obviously didn't know and asked for their photo's, he loved watching me do it. He said I'm a real go getter and that I'm something to be proud of! Thanks Ron! :)

WOOO!

So this morning I woke up this morning at 3 to help a client of ours at Hemmings House and I figured while I was doing the renders, I might as well tour the town! So come with me and enjoy the gorgeous views and vistas and some of the great people!

But seriously, after doing that for the client today guess what happened...my dell died, yup, total hard drive crash, something I've been preaching about to dell service for I don't know HOW long. Sheesh! Anyways, I then proceeded to work for the rest of the day till around 2 o'clock whereas I felt I deserved the rest of the day off, so with that, I took up me trusty camera again and decided to take MORE PICUTRES! MUHAHAHAHA! I blast at that I had! I was all around the town today! It was bloody brilliant!

I had such a great time. I met soooo many people that I wouldn't have otherwise met. Plus, my greatest find on my journey's today was a Niel Young Harvest original record for $1 at the thrift store! HARVEST! ON A RECORD! MMMMMM! GOOOD! Awesome AWESOME! I love that album, it is the yum yum in me tum tum, I think I need some rum rum...

Plus I had an awesome breakfast at the wonderful Cora's, sooo good, and I had a bucket wheat crepe! I didn't know they had bucket wheat mix. Who cool is that? And sooo good, I know what I 'm doing this weekend, I'm going to go on a baking frenzy! I'm going to make key lime pie because I heard good things about it, AND, I'm going to make granola to put into my bucket wheat pancake crepes. Yup, hardcore... :)

Oh, and SAG, honestly guys, thanks for the support when I needed it the most the drugs got way out of control, but without you guys, really, just...wow.

Haha, no seriously, I would like to thank a couple of people for the development and launch of this site. Firstly, I would like to thank Lissa Pattillo, she is an amazing web developer that without her talents, I couldn't have done this feat. It is remarkable how dedicated she is and how through it all, still manages to find time to make that last tweak, thanks Lissa, I couldn't have imagined this without you. And just one more thanks I would like to make, and that is the client; Nancy Hare. Thank you Nancy, your patience and your due diligence to fight to the very last is remarkable. You truly are something else! You have taught me a lot, and taught me that dreams are worth fighting for, and doing what you love not only helps those in need, but helps everyone around you. Being who we are is the most amazing thing in the world! Being a photographer is the greatest feeling, to be able to capture a moment in time, but a moment in time to capture someone, is something else! Be honest, give me crits! I'd love to hear from you guys...but keep in mind....these are un-edited, I'm really tired, but I still wanted to share them, gotta get up early in the am and get my exercise on!

As you probably know, I love black and white...but they will be coming, I promise, as soon as I have some editing time on my hands, I'll be editing!

Oh, and is that Kenzie roo in there too? Yup, she had her first play too! As a monkey in the Jungle Book! So I worked on a painting the last week, and well, I'm rather quite proud of it. Here she is!

So, today was my first shoot with the Hemmings crew!

And my god! What an amazing time!

Just being there, feeling the energy of life is crazy! One moment you see someone in complete pain, then in the next room, you see a young couple looking at their twins fight on the ultrasound.

It was my first experience with an ultrasound, and I have to admit, it was AMAZING. The father had tears running down his eyes and holding his girlfriend, and rubbing her arm. There's something certainly said about the human condition, and that it is that we are amazing creatures. I can't say how greatful I am to be sitting here typing this, and knowing that I am a live. It's a great feeling.

Check out some of the photo's that I took, yes, there is A TON more, but just no time to post ALL of them. hehe But I made sure to get the new family to be because I am going to give them these photo's so that they will have something to hold on to for the rest of their lives. OH! Did I mention that the twins were fighting inside of her? It was SOOO cool to watch them clinch their little fists' and duke it out! SOOOO COOOL!

Recently I learned from someone special to me that life is more important than the work you do, it's who you spend it with and how special you make your life with them, the time you spend with the people you care about. Because in the end, it's what you do with your life and who you surround yourself with.

To all of my friends, co-workers, ex co-workers, family. I'm sorry I didn't spend as much time as I could have with you. You've all meant so much to me. In this time of self reflection over the last month has taught me this and I wanted to say thank you.

Sometimes, all you need is just a look, no words, just a look, and that look will say you are special, very very special, so go out and be special for the rest of your lives.

Be somebody. Be you. Because you are the most important person in the world and share that special feeling with that somebody.

Well, it's been awhile since I've been on the blogosphere.

So...the question at hand is, what have I been up to?

Currently, I am the Senior Offline Editor for Three Delivery a just recently aired cartoon for BBC, Nick, YTV, CBC-Francais. I just recently about 3 weeks ago recently became a proud owner of a Weimaraner puppy. She's is beautiful and soooo smart! Here she is after the first couple days of owning her.

In case you're wondering what her name is, it's Indi, short for Indianna, yup, named after the dog, not character named after the dog, the dog. Because I am a film fan, I thought it was an owing tribute to one the past centuries leaders in innovation and technology which I owe my life to. And the fact that my girlfriend liked "Indi." Go figure...

Secondly, who is my girlfriend? Lauren Elisabeth Hare, what does she look like? Well, here she is!

So, what can I say about her that hasn't already been said? She's beautiful, check, smart, check, makes me laugh, check, all around makes me happy? Check check. *Double check certifies this post and any other like in context of fulfillment, happiness, and life

Alright, so, what's next? Not too much, just working hard and living hard, I haven't gone to the gym in almost two months, that's a big news update, haven't changed in weight mind you, and just enjoying what I've worked so hard to achieve. I'll get back into probably at the end of summer, but for now, I'm just enjoying the life! Hiking on the weekends and playin' with the pup and training both her and my girl, haha...don't tell her I said that, she'll kill me!

And the other day I was in checkin' out some new CD's and saw the Wall-E soundtrack, the packaging was killer and thought I'd take my own stab at it. So here it is!

Yup, so this coming year is looking to be a good one, I'm going to be getting back into the theater's this coming fall, I'll be wrapping up my part on TD, more freelance and fun jobbies around the corner, and I'm looking at taking on a bigger role at Fatkat than I ever thought was possible. I owe it to the people who always supported me, Mom, Dad, thank you, for everything, you both taught me to be a worker, and to have spirit and to always believe in yourself and your goals. Shoot big, and you will never come away disappointed! Gene, you've been a great mentor, teacher, and friend.

I guess that's about it for this post, I'll see you in another couple of months...possibly. heh

That's right, I will be the post supervisor for the new upcoming television series "Three Delivery".

I'm not too sure if I can say much about it, but I just wanted to give a glimpse of something I pulled off late last week. I'm pretty proud of the results!

Montgomery Moth Album Cover

Yup yup,

Jeremy Donovan of Montgomery Moth gave me a chance to do up an album cover for his band's latest CD release.

It was eventually tossed, but it really made me perk up as I've had slump for a little while now.

The album is called 'Candy' and the CD release is in 2 weeks! I can't wait! These guys are a great band!

NSLC

This is my favourite piece that I have worked on over the past 2 years. This was also the single most difficult piece that I worked on, everything from Shading, to Lighting, to rendering, this project never let up. Not only did it air for 2 consecutive years, but the client also came back requesting theater resolution and aired all across Nova Scotia! By far my favourite!

NCC

Here is another project that was created in 3D. Again, another good one and the first commercial that I used After Effects to track and edit. Not too shabby for my first foray into the belly of the beast.

Harv's Sportsland Intro

Harv's was one of those jobs that you absolutely had to get out of the door, but none the less, it was the first project that taught me how much space and setting up flash properly for post makes all of the difference in the world.

Pepsi Spice

An AWESOME and fun project to work on! We got to work with my favourite client in the world. Mr. Tony Grillo of Flinch Studios. These guys not only know what they want, but they know how to do it, and do it right! I love these guys! So precise and attentive to detail!! On this one I got to design, create FX and composite. Great fun was had on this project, and least of all, we pulled this entire project off in 7 days!

Bristol Station ID

Just a test in my 3D after effects compositing skills, turned out all right, wasn't too bad, but I can do better.

Oh! And finally, be sure to check out Gushy Grams! It is an online e-card site that I worked on, on this project I did everything from animation to design! My work is plastered all that website! So go ahead check it out!

Hey guys.

I thought I'd join the rest of the world with new and improved blogging technologies and post some of the art I've been doing recently.

This is one that I did for a drawing jam at work. We had re-create The Legend of Zelda in whatever way we think fits the best or whatever we like.

So here is my rendition, I was watching a lot of samurai jack when I created this so as you can see there was a lot of influence. I like drawing in a very graphical style, something not of the norm but something different. I hope you enjoy!

I'm not quite done this piece when I look back to it, I still want to add Navi and I still want to add a reflection of Gannon in Link's sword.
